I've been employed for 4 years and 3 months as a teacher. I joined the school mid year, February 2011 to be exact. I gave notice that I will not renew my contract for the academic year 2015/2016.

After completing my initial 2 year contract back in February 2013, the school made an amendment. It renewed my contract for 1 year in such a way that the end of contract now coincided with the end of school year in June 2014. Employment rolled over to this year without any new contract signed.

Am I entitled to full ESB or 1/3 of ESB? I will be given final exit though, so is my non renewal of contract correctly classified as resignation or contract expiry or termination with agreement by both parties?
