Children's names to be deleted from passport as father is going on exit and had this done.

My husband's visa expires tomorrow .On submission of the passport for stamping EXIT, he was told that his children had to be removed from his passport.This was already done and the office has not updated their record.He has to leave the country tomorrow as his visa expires.Please advise.
